What is club volleyball?

Club volleyball is a nationally organized youth volleyball network designed for players to compete at the local and national level, enhance their volleyball skills, and obtain exposure from college coaches.

What is the vision of Capital City Elite?

Though elite is in our name, we do not have an elitist approach. We foster a true team-centered environment which focuses on the entirety of student-athlete experience. We purpose to help develop not simply premier volleyball players, but outstanding individuals.

What is the roster size and number of teams in Capital City Elite?

Our number of teams and roster sizes will be determined after tryouts. However, it is our goal to have no more than 12 players on each team. The developmental team is designed for girls between the ages of 7-10. This team will solely focus on learning the basics of volleyball and will not compete in tournaments.

Who coaches at Capital City Elite?

All coaches for Capital City Elite are former NCAA Division I volleyball players and/or current high school volleyball Head Coaches.

Where and when will practices be held?

Conditioning practices for the month of December will be held twice weekly starting the week of December 5th at Trinity University. Practices will be held on December 5,6,12, and 19 th from 6:45-8:45pm. In January, regular practices will be held on alternating days Monday through Sunday two to three times weekly in two hour increments between the hours of 6:45PM and 10PM depending on the team. The developmental team will practice 2 times per week in 1 hour increments. Practices will be held at Trinity University and Kendall Demonstration School. Depending on times and availability, tentative locations include: National Cathedral School, The Maret School, and Washington Jewish Community Center. These details will be discussed at the upcoming parents’ meeting and any changes will be updated on the website.

What are the costs? 

The annual cost for participation is between $1,575.00 and $2,700.00 depending on the age division for the team (cost for developmental is $775) These costs include gym rental, training, equipment, coaches pay, coaches travel and lodging (for travel teams), administrative fees and tournament fees. Uniform packages are an additional cost of $250.00. This cost includes 2 jerseys, one pair of spandex, one back pack, one warm up suit with player personalization.

What is the pay schedule?

A deposit of the club fees will be due on November 29 th . Depending on your payment plan of choice, the remaining payments will be due on the 5 th of each month beginning January 2017 through March 2017.

What happens if your child does not make a team?

If your child does not make a team, we may select up to 3 young ladies for each team that will be invited to participate in all practices but will not participate in tournaments nor be a part of the active roster.

How many tournaments will each team participate in?

Our goal is to have each team participate in 8-10 tournaments (12u will participate in 6-8 tournaments). Dates and times forthcoming.
